Wales Council For Deaf People has a grant funding scheme for young hearing impaired people up to the age of 25.

Applicants must live in Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd or Wrexham to be eligible for an award.

Grants are available for educational activities that can include Brownies, Scouts, Life Guard training and other character building projects that prepare a child for life as an adult, such as independent living training or vocational courses.

Students attending courses in Further or Higher Education establishments can apply for a bursary towards equipment and living costs. This FE or HE bursary will have a maximum limit of up to £1,000 per year for three years.
