ADVOCACY

We work in partnership with many other organisations and the Welsh Government, to address all issues relating to Deafness, with the intention to bring about change in service provision.

CAMPAIGNING

Children and adults with hearing loss often face substantial barriers in many aspects of their lives. Let us know if you encounter problems and we’ll try to help. We can either provide support and information ourselves or signpost you to a partner organisation.

SUPPORT

We support individuals with queries, filling in forms eg PIP applications, making calls on their behalf and organising appointments etc.

CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE

Wales Council for Deaf People aim to organise activity weekends for Deaf children and young people each year. This is an activity we believe in because of the benefits it brings to young people throughout Wales. We believe passionately that providing these opportunities is an important part of our work and we aim to continue to build on their successes and increase the range of opportunities we can offer.

PROMOTION

Wales Council for Deaf People produces a wide range of leaflets publicising our services to improve access to those who are Deaf, deafened, hard of hearing and Deafblind.

We attend partnership activities and events to promote what we offer.

We promote our organisation and events via our Website, Facebook page, Twitter and with local newspapers and radio.
