Students are expected to do private study and project work throughout the course to reinforce class-room based learning
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to improve their communication and fluency in BSL and need classroom-based learning. It will act as a progression route for those with level 2 in BSL and who may want to progress to a more advanced level of study.
This Qualification will have 3 external assessments
1. Candidate will develop knowledge and skills in BSL Linguistics and Grammar covering a range of topics
2. Candidate will develop receptive skills and be able to follow and participant in conversa-tions and discussions on a range of topics and in a range of situations
3. Candidate will develop productive skills and be able to participate and contribute freely to conversations and discussions on a range of topics and in a range of situations.
The Assessment Process
1. Formal Presentation: you will deliver a presentation on a topic which you have researched and prepared
2. Informal Conversation :- This conversation will be with your tutor
3. Receptive Skills :- you will watch a DVD of a conversation and answer questions on the content
Any sessions cancelled by the centre will result in additional dates being arranged at no extra charge
