Fundraising isn't just about raising money, it's about raising awareness too. They are of equal importance and together we can build on our work which began in the 1950's, bringing greater quality of service provision.

 

As a leading Welsh organisation representing Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing people, we're committed to breaking down barriers and improving quality of life. Your support is important to our mission.

HOW you cAN hELP?

There are many ways you can support WCDP. Here are a few options:

  • Volunteer: Share your time and skills to help with our various initiatives.

  • Donate: Make a financial contribution to support our programs and services.

  • Organise an Event: Host a fundraising event, such as a marathon, to raise funds for our cause.

  • Leave a Gift in Your Will: Consider making a lasting impact by including our organisation in your estate planning.

Businesses can make a significant impact by supporting our cause. Here are a few ways you can get involved:

 

  • Organise a Coffee Morning: Host a coffee morning in your workplace to raise funds and awareness.

  • Provide Deaf & Deafblind Awareness Training: Offer training sessions to your employees to increase understanding and promote inclusivity.

  • Host a Bake Sale: Organise a bake sale in your workplace or community to raise funds.

  • Hold a Quiz Night: Host a quiz night with a deaf or deafblind theme to raise money and have fun.

  • Organise a Fancy Dress Event: Host a themed event with a fancy dress element to attract participants and raise funds.

BECOME AN Ambassador

Do you have a passion for advocating for the rights and well-being of Deaf and Hard of Hearing people? Join us as a WCDP Ambassador and make a positive impact on our community.

As an ambassador, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Raise awareness: Educate others about the challenges faced by Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and promote understanding and acceptance.

  • Represent the community: Be a voice for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people, advocating for their rights and needs.

  • Network and connect: Build relationships with other advocates and organisations to strengthen our community.

  • Volunteer: Contribute your time and skills to support our various initiatives.
